Why was my bank card charged even though I didn’t make an order?

When you click on the ‘Buy with Slash’ button at the checkout page, we pre-authorize funds on your bank card. Pre-authorization holds are standard banking procedures used to temporarily hold funds when you make online payments. We can then confirm that the payment method is valid and you have enough funds to complete the payment.

The pre-authorization is not a payment, but a temporary reservation/deduction of a particular amount on your card. The amount is equal to the slashed price of your purchase. No funds are taken from your account during pre-authorization.

If your order cannot be processed by the shop, this temporary hold on your payment card will be released immediately and you will be able to access your funds.
