Setting merchant restrictions on your cards helps your business get better control over card spend, helping avoid instances of overspend or fraud. Slash has built-in features to help you set these limits on a per card, per card group or global level.

Setting Merchant Restrictions on a Global Level

We highly recommend that all customers implement global merchant restrictions, particularly if the vast majority of their spend is on a select few merchants.

  1. Navigate to the cards page and select "Controls" on the top right-hand side.

  2. Next, select "Global Card Controls" and click "Set up controls".

  3. Finally, select the relevant controls (merchant categories, MCCs, countries, etc) and click "Save Controls".
